Lederle introduce Loxapac. A new effective chemical entity for the manifestations of acute and chronic schizophrenia… Loxapax is a dibenzoxazepine representing a new subclass of tricyclic antipsychotic agents. It is chemically distinct from the phenothiazines, thioxanthenes and butyrophenones. Controlled studies with large patient groups not only show the efficacy of Loxapac but significantly indicate certain favourable trends in the Loxapac side effect profile., Loxapine Succinate, Ctanamid, Person with white clown make up on, clutching hands to chest/neck, looking straight up with eyes wide open.

Disabling side effects a problem for… Patient - adding drug-induced sedation and other physical problems to the ambulatory schizophrenic's already heavy burden can only lessen the patient's prospects for a better life. Family - disturbing drug-induced side effects can provoke embarrassment and shame among family and friends and contribute to the deterioration of family relationships so often seen when the schizophrenic lives at home. Physician - the need to limit the dosage of certain neuroleptics - dur to the emergence of disabling side effects - has been a continuing problem to the physician treating the ambulatory schizophrenic. To help the ambulatory schizophrenic function more normally, Orap tablets exhibit minimal disabling side effects. The normal maintenance dosage levels of Orap exhibit virtually no hypnosedative action nor are disabling autonomic or extrapyramidal effects generally seen in the effective range. With their physical and mental capacity relatively unimpaired, patients build up self-confidence. They feel they have the capacity to cope and to become functioning, productive members of the community., Ethnor, All green silhouette of a person (male) in a wheelchair.

Apathy and indifference a problem for the… Patient - idle and unreliable, unwilling and unable to bear daily responsibilities, the apathetic, indifferent patient's prospects for a better life are not very good. Family - the emotional and practical problems that can result from the presence of an idle, irresponsible schizophrenic in the family can, and often do, reach the very limit of what is tolerable for the family and patient alike. Physician - the patient who is apathetic and indifferent to seeing his physician adds greatly to the difficulties of monitoring his progress and loses the real therapeutic value that results from your expression of interest and concern. To help the ambulatory schizophrenic function more normally Orap tablets activate the apathetic individual. Patients who are apathetic and indifferent often become more open and cheerful and show a marked change in initiative and motivation to work. The willingness to work and ability to perform constitute an important step toward social acceptability and reintegration into the community., Ethnor, All blue silhouette of a person (female) sitting in a wheelchair.

Emotional withdrawal a problem for the…Patient isolated, alone, unable to form working relationships with family, friends or co-workers, the emotionally withdrawn patient's prospects for a better life ar not very good. …Family The emotional and practical problems that can result from the presence of an emotionally withdrawn schizophrenic in the family can, and often do, reach the very limit of what is tolerable for family and patient alike. …Physician The patient who will not venture out and misses or postpones seeing his physician adds greatly to the difficulties of monitoring his progress and loses the real theraputic value that results from your expression of interest and concern. To help the ambulatory schizophrenic function more normally Orap Tablets effectively reduce emotional withdrawal. Patients on orap often exhibit remarkable improvements in sociability. They become more communicative, co-operative and open, and show an imprved capacity to adapt to their environment. They fit in better with family, friends and co-workers and stand to gain more out programs directed toward their social and occupational rehabilitation. Emotional withdrawal was completely eliminated in 43% of the pimozide-treated patients exhibting this symptom but in none of the chlorpromazine-treated patients. Appreciable gains are then noted not only on antipsychotic activity but especially in social opennes with positive changes of attitude in terms of spontaneous social behaviour. In outpatients with paranoia or paranoid personality structures, primozide not only produces insight but also awareness by the patient of himself, others and the outside world. The resulting introspection, consciousness and self-direction lead to improved social behaviour and achievements., Primozide, Janssen Pharmaceutica Research Labs. -
Not every road has a nasty turning for many patients, depression can be a one-way street with suicide as its ending. Because of this, anti-depressant therapy must not only be effective, by also rapid in its onset of action. Even moderate delays between prescribing and theraputic effect can have tragic consequences. Parnate acts rapidly; often relieving moderate to severe depression in as little as 1 to 3 days. The patient feels better faster-and the danger of suicide is greatly diminished. The rapid action also means that parnate gives the physician an early indication of therapeutic effect, allowing psychotherapy to being almost immediately. Parnate - the faster therapeutic response in depression., Tranylcypromine, Smith Kline & French Laboratories (Australia) Limited., Black & White image of a one way street.
