An outstanding record of safety. Anxiety that obstructs the therapeutic relationship often requires adjunctive pharmacotherapy. Selecting an appropriate agent for excessively anxious patients, however, can involve considerations of safety as much as of efficacy. Because of this, Librium (chlordiazepoxide HCl) is often an excellent choice. One of the safest antianxiety agents available, Librium is seldom associated with serious side effects (the most common are dose-related and thus largely avoidable). Librium rarely affects the cardiovascular or respiratory systems, rarely interferes with mental acuity. However, as with all CNS-acting drugs, patients should be cautioned against driving and hazardous activities requiring complete mental alertness. Librium efficacy is a well-documented matter of record. But, equally important, so is its highly favorable benefits-to-risk ratio. That's what makes Librium Librium chlordiazepoxide HCl/Roche The Anxiety-specific. |
