An outstanding record of safety. Anxiety that obstructs the therapeutic relationship often requires adjunctive pharmacotherapy. Selecting an appropriate agent for excessively anxious patients, however, can involve considerations of safety as much as of efficacy. Because of this, Librium (chlordiazepoxide HCl) is often an excellent choice.
