Tranxene 5, 10 mg (Dipotassium clorazepate). Anxioselective with less sedation. Effective in the treatment of anxiety. Effective in depressive symptoms related to anxiety. Tranxene, dipotassium clorazepate, is a synthetic chemical substance found and perfected by CLIN-MIDY Research Center. Indications: Anxiety and sleep disturbance due to anxiety. Dosage: Adults: Usual daily dosage is 5 to 30 mg, in divided dose; higher doses may be used depending on clinical requirements. Children: The use should be recommended only in exceptional cases; the dosage is about 0.5 mg/kg/day, in several divided doses. Elderly, patients with renal insufficiency: Reduced dosage is recommended: for example, half of the mean dosage may be enough. DO NOT EXCEED THE PRESCRIBED DOSE. PRECAUTIONS: The attention is drawn especially in the drivers and the users of machinery, on the risks of drowsiness associated with the use of the drug; the absorption of alcohol during the treatment is absolutely contra-indicated. |
