Provides the confidence of a lifetime. 1946: John is 9 when he suffers the first grand mal seizure. Further seizures follow, and therapy with Dilantin is started. Despite illness, does well in end of year exams. 1956: 19 years old, in his 2nd year of Accounting studies, and a keen basketball player. Therapy with Dilantin continues, and seizures become considerably less frequent. Dilantin well accepted. 1966: John takes up a new appointment as Chief Accountant in a large mining company. 3 months later, daughter, Anne, born. Continues therapy with Dilantin providing good control. 1976: On holiday in Fiji, John hired a boat and take the family for a tour around the island.
