The unique new improvement of benzodiazepine series which fulfils the requirements set for the ideal "tranquillosedatives" Drandaxin is clinically proved as: a valuable tension relieving and anxiolytic agent; it influences mood favourably; it is likely to induce the psychovegetative balance. Apart from the above therapeutic properties, Grandaxin does not bring about somnolence or depression; does not cause the sensation of tiredness; does not interfere with the capacity of concentration and working intensity; does not slow down reflex activity; does not affect the sleep pattern even refreshed arise; has no myorelaxant effect; does not increase the effect of ethanol in therapeutic does; is void of anticonvulsive effect; is free from cardiodepressive effect; is well tolerated. Dosage: usually 1 tablets 1-3 times daily. 1-2 tablets in case of occasional use. Composition: each tablet contains 50 mg Tofizapam. Side effect: Grandaxin is well tolerated side effect occur only in rare instances. Among the side effects gastrointestinal complaints are the most frequent manifesting themselves in form of anorexia, constipation, meteorism, nausea, vomiting. Skin Symptoms occurred more rerely. Warning: Over Excitement or hyperactivity latent aggression may be precipitated during the treatment. These unwanted reactions can be reversed by reducing dosage or discontinuing medication. Although no experimental evidence of teratogenicity has been brought about the use of the preparation; similarly to other tranquillosedative is not recommended during the first trimester of pregnancy.
