Undoubtedly this is a major factor leading to relapse of schizophrenics. Modecate VS Oral Therapy; Medecate has been shown to be superior to oral medication even when this is reliably taken. Modecate reduces Readmission; In a mirror-image study, readmissions were reduced from 191 to 50, and duration of hospital stay from 8713 days to 1335 days. Modecate reduces Relapse; Under double blind controlled conditions, 66% of the group on placebo relapsed, whereas only 8% of the group on Modecate relapsed. Modecate reduces the burden on family and community; Patients on placebo exhibited a marked increase in aggression and socially embarrassing behavior. Modecate reduces Medication Cost; A single does has been found to last from 4 to 6 weeks in patients on maintenance therapy. |
