Librium 'Roche' means liberation from anxiety and tension in functional and organic disorders. Specific relief of anxiety and tension without impairment of sensorium. Wide clinical application, ranging from anxiety and tension to severe agitated states and embracing emotionally determined functional diseases and muscular spasms. A sense of release expressed as a feeling of increased drive without direct stimulation. Effective control of hitherto refractory emotional functional and muscular disorders. Does not impair intellectual acuity or produce sedation. Free from extrapyramidal and autonomic effects. Usually safe even in prolonged use. Dosage: Because of the wide range of clinical indication, the dosage of 'Librium' should be individuall determined. Average dose in adults 20-40 mg daily. Elderly or debilitated patients should receive 10 mg daily and only in exceptional cases more. Children initially 10 mg daily, increased if necessary to 20 or 30 mg daily, or more in special cases.
