Sommet Rouge… It has to come of age before we blend it. The distinctive European taste of Sommet Rouge comes largely from a French hybrid grape now grown in BC's sun-drenched Okanagan Valley. Wine from this rare grape is matured in oak casks in the winery's cellars until it "comes of age". Then, and only then, is it carefully blended with fully aged wine from imported premium Californian grapes, bottled and corked. The result is a robust, dry red wine that has put Sommet Rouge in heavy demand wherever it is sold. Sommet Rouge. Canadian wine with the European accent. |
