Shed new light on the treatment of depressive illness. The role played by the neurotransmitter 5-HT in depressive illness is becoming more widely accepted. So its hardly surprising that an agent that very selectively blocks synaptic reuptake of 5-HT has proved effective in the management of the symptoms of depressive illness. Faverin is just that. A highly selective 5-HT reuptake inhibitor. Because it is not a tricyclic, it effectively reduces the depths of depression without adding to the patients problems with unwanted anticholinergic effects - and in most cases, without causing daytime sedation. Faverin. A fresh approach to antidepressive treatment. |
